Geotextiles, also known as geotextiles, are permeable geosynthetic materials made from synthetic fibres by needling or weaving. Geotextiles are one of the new material geosynthetics, finished in cloth form, generally 4-6 metres wide and 50-100 metres long.

Geotextiles are light in weight, low in cost, corrosion resistant and have excellent properties such as back filtration, drainage, isolation and enhancement. It is widely used in civil engineering works such as water conservancy, electric power, mines, highways and railways.
